Joomla! reports that DOCman is incompatible

In Extensions -> Install/Uninstall -> Components, there is column called 'Compatibility', which lists DOCman 1.4 as not being compatible.

There is nothing to worry about. DOCman is compatible with Joomla 1.5.x and has been tested extensively. The column should actually have been called 'Legacy mode', which is an entirely different concept than 'Compatibility'.

Please note that the use of legacy layer does not add any performance penalties to speak of, nor does it affect your sites behaviour or security. A lot of misunderstanding has been spread about his, but our tests prove otherwise. And in fact, DOCman is one of the most secure and performant extensions out there.
