How to install DOCman?

DOCman 1.5
There are brief simple instructions contained within the README.php file that read like so:
- Install DOCman using Joomla's component installer.
- If you're new to DOCman, we highly recommend you click the 'Add sample data'-button.
- Review the configuration settings and save.
- Several add-ons such as some DOCman modules, DOClink and the DOCman search bot are installed with DOCman 1.5.x

- To use the integrated search, install the optional search mambot and
publish it.
For the unexperienced Joomla! user its still an
easy process:
- Turn on 1.0.x legacy mode!
- To turn on legacy mode in Joomla! 1.5:
- login to your backend administrator panel, goto: Extensions ->
Plugins
- Locate the plugin "System - Legacy" tick the box to the left of it
in the top right, click "Enable"
- You should now see in the menu along the top a small joomla icon
with some text saying "Legacy: 1.0" If this is the case you may now
install DOCman.
Now install the component:
- Click 'Extensions' > 'Install/Uninstall'
- Browse to you DOCman package on
your computer
- Click upload
- If you're new to DOCman, we highly recommend you click the 'Add sample
data'-button.
