How to manually install themes?

The below is a quick guide to manually installing themes for DOCman, in most every case we advise using the theme installer, as the theme installer should be functional for most users as of 1.4.x. and 1.5.x However in the event your having any issues installing a theme via the theme installer:

  • Unzip the package and put it in /components/com_docman/themes/mjaztools_blogtheme/
    • Make sure you spelled "mjaztools_blogtheme" correctly or it won't work
    • Also make sure themeConfig.php has writing permissions
  • In the backend, go to Components -> DOCMan -> Configuration -> Frontend
    • Set Icon Size to 32x32
  • Go to Components -> DOCMan -> Themes
    • Edit the configuration settings for BlogTheme
    • Don't forget to publish it!
  • Done!
