Sometimes extensions fail to install when Debugging is turned on in the Joomla configuration. This results in the error message: "Incorrect Install file detected, for more information see incorrect install file on the documentation wiki." This is caused by a bug in some versions of Joomla. To resolve, go to Site -> Global Configuration, click the System tab, set "Debug System" to "No" and click save. Then reinstall the extension.
